is teaming up with Live Global Bid to broadcast these auctions...via the
Internet...in very nearly real time (less than a 1-second delay). This means you
will be able to bid on properties either directly through the Internet or with a
telephone call to the sale site. Bidding avenues (Internet, telephone or both)
will be publicized for each sale.
The speed of your Internet
connection will determine the quality of the visual portion of the webcast. A
broadband connection (Cable, DSL, T1, Satellite or Wireless) will allow you to
watch and hear the sale as it's happening. Dialup connections, on
the other hand, will either see a slide show (a video still shot that changes
every 5-10 seconds) or not be able to view the broadcast.
It will
depend on your connection speed.
From our tests, however, it
looks like the audio from the sale should be good quality and you
can listen to the sale in very nearly real time with at least a 4K
(Kilobytes/sec) connection to the Internet. Worst case scenario (under 4K
connection), you'll be able to follow the bidding on the sale site by means of
the text display. Click below to check your connection speed.

* NOTE FOR WINDOWS
XP USERS
. The browser that is currently
available for distribution with the new Windows XP software
package is Internet Explorer version 6.0. The following changes
must be made to avoid seeing any cookies error messages. The Live
Global Bid software uses session-only cookies, this allows you to
log into the auction without having to reload the software every
time. Please keep in mind that the default settings that came with
your XP browser are set in a way that does not allow for this to
happen. Make these changes in your browser configuration.
At the top of the browser window you
will click on the Tools tab, go down to Internet Options, There a
new window will display itself. Once there please click on the
'Privacy' tab and move the slider bar to the "Low" setting. then
click OK and you are done. You can change your settings back once
the auction is done if you want.
